Westover Hills Presbyterian Church
Little Rock, Arkansas
Sipe -- 2M/24R

In 2001 our firm was commissioned to build new chestwork and winding systems for the Sipe organ located in the sanctuary. The chestwork failed due to the extensive use of synthetic materials popular in the 1960s. The organ also suffered from poor service access.
The renovation included all new electric slider windchests. The winding system was reconfigured and moved for better service access in addition to raising and cantilevering the case forward. The console was fitted with new key contacts and a new Solid State Logic switching and capture system. After installation was complete, the organ received a complete tonal regulation remaining true to its design.
Installation was completed in September of 2002. The organ was dedicated in 2003 by Michael Morgan, organist at Central Presbyterian Church, Atlanta, Georgia.
