About This Project

First United Methodist Church originally contracted with our firm to rebuild the console for their 45-rank Austin pipe organ. After lengthy discussions and considerations, the contract was modified to incorporate a completely new 3-manual drawknob console with provisions for other improvements.

The new console is constructed of walnut with burled walnut interior complementing other woodwork in the sanctuary.  Tracker-touch keys with bone naturals and ebony sharps were provided in the new console. Turned ebony drawknobs and maple engravings add an elegant finish.

Our consoles are built in accordance with AGO standards for function and comfort. The console project incorporated new solid-state relays and capture systems by Solid State Organ Systems of England. The console is installed on a lift and can be moved out for concerts and other music functions. Peter Infanger, former Music Director of First United Methodist Church, provided input to the layout and needs for the new console.
