2012
The original 3-manual 1969 Austin console at Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, Georgia, was deteriorating rapidly and had become unreliable. In September of 2012, we built and installed a new 4-manual console which now controls the Positiv Division, formerly a floating division.
With the installation of this new console, we upgraded the relays with a new Solid State Organ Systems Organist Palette that provides an intuitive and sophisticated MIDI control panel combined with organ recording without taking up any space on the console. The unit is controlled with an iPad Interface System—the first to be installed in the United States. The new console was also fitted with LED lights for music desk and pedal illumination, both of which are dimmable. The music desk is adjustable for optimal sight lines.
Parkey OrganBuilders completely renovated and re-leathered the existing windchests in 2005.
