St. James United Methodist Church has been one of our treasured clients since the early days of our company and their 1968 Moller was beginning to show the signs of aging.  With the exception of the Antiphonal division, the entire organ was releathered by our firm.  The keyboards have received a thorough restoration.  Since the principal chorus on the Great was under-scaled for the vast space of St. James, Parkey OrganBuilders replaced the 8′ Diapason, 4′ Octave, and Mixture to provide the power the division sorely needed.  An Oboe was also added to the organ on the Choir division that complimented the Swell 8′ Bassoon.  For the Trumpet en Chamade, new boots were made, cleaned and regulated.  Tonal revisions were made throughout.

With work now completed, St. James’s organ should be ready for the next half century of reliable musical service.
